History
Spanish Springs Construction (SSC) was incorporated in November 2004 by partners Adam Rutherford and Clint Manzonie in Spanish Springs, Nevada. Initially focused on site work including underground utilities, structural excavation, and finish grade preparation for commercial retail and warehouse facilities, the company secured its first public works contract at The Reno-Tahoe International Airport in 2008. Shortly thereafter, SSC expanded into federal contracting, becoming a leading contractor for the Department of Veterans’ Affairs National Cemetery Administration with pre-cast crypt installations and other federal projects across fourteen states. The company has diversified its services over the years, adding asphalt paving capabilities in 2011 and concrete services in 2014. SSC completed numerous projects for federal agencies including the US Army Corps of Engineers, US Department of Transportation, and USDA Forest Service, while maintaining a strong local presence in Nevada with street rehabilitation and subdivision development projects.
In 2022, Spanish Springs Construction was acquired by Teichert, marking a new chapter in the company’s growth and expansion. Teichert’s full-service, vertically integrated model and deep project management expertise are designed to complement Spanish Springs Construction and support our customers throughout all stages of a project.
